Patrícia Carvalho & Yiannis Lagos elected as Fellows

The Institute is delighted to announce that Patrícia Carvalho (from Portugal) and Yiannis Lagos (from Greece) have both been elected as Fellows of the Institute this week.

Patricia Carvalho FBEI

Patrícia is a chemical engineer turned business consultant and trainer who – after working in petrochemicals – went to work for the Portuguese Post before going independent in 2000. In 2009, she founded her own company Solutions for Improvement, Training and Consultancy (SMFC in Portuguese) in 2009, to support public and private sector organizations.
Since 2009 Patrícia has worked internationally on consulting projects for municipalities and regional governments as well as in the private sector in hospatality, logictics, sports, and ITC. Most recently she has worked with a number of our other members on the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme.

She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and an Executive Master’s in Management with a specialization in Leadership Development.

Yiannis Lagos FBEI

Yiannis is a people operations specialist. He has built a reputation for implementing talent, performance, and business strategies as well as nurturing ideas to help organizations achieve long-term effectiveness. He has also spent over a decade evangelizing a market-wide shift to evidence-based HR and has assisted many corporations and organizations transition successfully.

He has developed a number of tools to make people analytics accessible and to encourage managers to embrace the human dimension of management. Most recently he has worked with a number of our other members on the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme.

He holds a Diploma in Business Administration (Xinis College, Greece), a BSc in Computer Science (Walsh University, USA) and an MSc in Business Administration (Imperial College, UK).
