Don Haider elected as a Fellow of the Institute

The Institute is delighted to announce that Don Haider, Professor of Strategy at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and Director of its Center for Non-profit Management, has been elected a Fellow of the Institute.

Don’s career spans the public and private sectors. A graduate of Standford and Columbia, he has worked for the US Office of Management and Budget, as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, and as Budget Director and CFO for the City of Chicago. He has been a Professor at the Kellogg School of Management since 1973 and has also sat on the boards of several corporations, foundations, and charities.

He won the 2012 Martha Derthick Best Book Award on Federalism and Intergovernmental relations and has co-authored books on marketing in addition to numerous papers. Don is the only academic to date honored as both a Congressional Fellow and a White House Fellow.
